Minor trafficked for bonded child labour and slave

Description

Chandrama Behera (13) from Idupur, Ganjam district of Odisha was trafficked and sold to a brick factory owner firstly for bonded labor.


She was made to worked, exploited and served just one meal a day. Later she was transferred as slave to the owner's house on where she was threatened and sexually abused every day.


The incident came to light during EFICAR's Awareness Campaign in the village. They identified where the girl was kept and rescued her. EFIC@R ensured that she is not re-trafficked and they urged the villagers to report such incidents to EFICAR immediately.
