Anita Khess (15)Khess from Chirianya, Gumla district of Jharkhand was trafficked by her close friend to Delhi on the promised of a good job.


After an interviewed from Anushka, a lady from Chandigarh, Anita was sent to Mumbai.

She was sold as a maid where she was brutally beaten, abused every day and locked in a room without proper food. After a couple of months she somehow contacted EFICAR through PNT No. and informed her situation.


EFICAR reported the incident to the Police and caught the trafficker in no time. To their surprised, the man who bought and kept the girl was a policeman himself serving in Mumbai.


The girl was rescued and handed over safely to her parents. The team later found out that the people who were behind the trafficking are very influential and powerful personality in the locality.
